It is with great pleasure that we welcome two new trustees to our board: Jimena Gárate González de la Vega and María Gárate, both located in Mexico. We are excited to have them join our team and bring their unique perspectives and experiences to help further our mission of preserving and protecting the natural world.
María Gárate is a social, environmental activist and NGO fundraiser. Maria is passionate about being of service to others and to the planet. She is also a staff member of our Radio Natura Podcast that interviews people around the world who are making a positive impact on the social and environmental challenges that we face today.
Jimena Gárate González de la Vega is an entrepreneur who has placed environmentalism in the center of her work. Jimena is a fashion designer and the Founder of Valeta, her brand of upcycled accessories and clothes made out of sails, parachutes, wetsuits, fabric leftovers, rubber, and more. Jimena is also a valued staff member of our Radio Natura Podcast.
Their work and precedent clearly stand out as an example and their contributions to environmental protection are an inspiration to us all.
We believe that María and Jimena’s addition to our board of trustees will help us achieve our vision of a sustainable world for generations to come. With their combined experience and passion for the environment, we are confident that they will make a significant impact in advancing our mission and helping us to preserve and protect the natural world.
As we continue to face the ongoing challenges of climate change and environmental degradation, it is more important than ever to have young, dedicated individuals like Maria and Jimena on our team. We are grateful for their commitment to our mission and look forward to working together to make a positive impact on our planet. We are excited to see what we can accomplish together.
